Summary
| Roster | Ten creators, two joining a week | Proposed ramp: weeks 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 on the calendar, six weeks to a full roster of ten. |
|---|---|---|
| Who | Menswear, office and gift-buying creators | People who already wear dress socks on camera: suits, loafers, wingtips and jeans-and-loafers looks. |
| Production | 7 videos per creator per week | Proposed. At ten creators that is 303 creator videos a month (Calculated). |
| Pay | Three bands, top cap $1,500 | Proposed: Starter caps at $600, Standard at $1,000, Premium at $1,500. |
| Bonus | $50 flat past 100,000 views | Proposed. One bonus per creator per month, organic views only. |
| Compliance | Claims sheet built from Boardroom's own wording | Every spoken claim is checked against the sheet before posting. A broken claim voids the bonus. |
| Category rule | No foot-health promises, ever | Creators repeat only the brand's own lines on merino wool and moisture, and never promise a result. |
| Goal | $1 per 1,000 views | Proposed target. The base case lands at $5.74, so the gap is the work. |
| Report | Every Monday, by format and hook | Views, cost per 1,000 views against the $1 target, and which hooks go into the library. |
| Decision | Keep, change or stop at day 90 | Ceiling stays $15,000 with all ten at the top cap, bonuses excluded. You decide with the numbers. |

Track record
Former COO of Tabs. I built its creator program to 100M monthly social impressions, and the paid ad engine alongside it. The numbers below come from videos that program produced.
Same playbook as at Tabs: recruit many creators, brief one variable at a time, kill losers early, feed winners into paid. Boardroom's ribbed merino and gift boxes are a different category, and I have not run apparel. The first month is where we find out which hooks hold.

Why now
900,000+
Pairs sold already
Boardroom's home page counts 900,000+ pairs sold. Creators have a real track record to point to, and buyers already exist to film.
Published2,563
Reviews on the page
The site shows 2,563 reviews. That is raw material for a creator to read aloud and react to, in their own words.
Published723
Reviews on one sock
The Light Brown Merino Wool Over the Calf Dress Socks carry 723 reviews at a 4.85 rating. It is the natural first product to put on camera.
Published10,000+
Gift boxes sold
The site counts 10,000+ gift boxes sold. A six-pair box is made for an unboxing video, and I'd test it in the first week.

Principles
Cap the downside
Three pay bands, top cap $1,500. All ten creators at the top cap is $15,000 a month before bonuses. That is the ceiling I propose, and we do not pass it unasked.
One variable per test
Same sock, same length, new hook. Over the calf against mid-calf is its own test and never mixes with a new opener or a new setting.
Kill losers early
Seven videos per creator per week gives fast reads. Hooks that stall leave the next brief; hooks that hold go into the hook library.
One number to protect
Cost per 1,000 views, target $1. The base case is $5.74, so the work is closing that gap in the open, not hiding it.

This week: Light Brown Merino Wool Over the Calf. Show the 6x2 vertical rib, the reinforced heel and toe, and one full workday. One hook per video, same setting, no mixing.

Can I say these keep my feet dry all day?
Not in those words. Say the brand's line: the soft merino wool blend manages moisture. No promises about results.
Weekly botAppMon 9:00 AM
Report ready: views by format and hook, cost per 1,000 views against the $1 target, and the three hooks to retire this week.
RheaWed 2:15 PM
Sending your gift box draft back. The caption says it fits every foot. The site gives US shoe sizes 8-12. Fix the caption and repost.
DaniFri 6:40 PM
The khaki ribbed socks with jeans and loafers clip just passed 100,000 views. Organic, no boost.
Bonus flag raised: $50 flat. Claims check runs first, then it goes to the hook library.

Check before you post: does the video mention free shipping and the 90 day return policy the way the site words it? U.S. orders only. Reply with the caption.
The messages illustrate the working channel, with invented people: briefs go out on Monday, claims questions get an answer the same day, and nothing posts without the check.

Formats

Brief 01
Six-pair gift box unboxing
“Six pairs in one box, and I'm opening them on camera.”
Overhead on a table. Open the box, lay out each pair, pick a favorite. Say who you'd gift it to.

Brief 02
Over the calf workday test
“Over the calf stays up through a full workday. Watch.”
Morning, midday and evening shots of the same pair in the same shoes. Show the sock line at the calf each time.

Brief 03
Mid-calf ribbed close-up
“Mid-calf or over the calf? I wore both.”
Side-by-side on the same outfit. One variable only: the length. Show the rib up close in daylight.

Brief 04
Suit and wingtips outfit
“Navy merino, brown wingtips, grey suit. Here's the look.”
Get-ready video at a mirror. Pants cuff up, pair on, shoes tied, one line on how the merino feels.

Brief 05
Dress socks with jeans
“Dress socks with jeans and loafers? Yes. Here's how.”
Walking shot, cuffed jeans, brown loafers. Cut to the khaki ribbed sock close-up, then a weekend errand.
Every product line in a video comes off the claims sheet word for word, for example “Made in USA from imported and domestic yarns.”, “Free shipping, free 90-day returns, all U.S. orders.”, “900,000+ Pairs Sold”. Product names are said as printed.

Recruiting
Four sources in
Affiliate or ambassador page
No affiliate or ambassador page was found on the site, so there is no existing roster to inherit. We start by recruiting from scratch.
Menswear and office creators
Creators who already film suit, loafer and wingtip outfits. Their audience already cares about what sits between the trouser hem and the shoe.
Reviewers and newsletter readers
With 2,563 reviews on the site and a monthly email newsletter, some customers already love the product. I'd ask the brand to invite a few.
Gift and holiday content
Creators who film gifts for dads, groomsmen and coworkers. The six-pair gift boxes fit them directly.
Five filters, fewer each step
1Wears dress socks on camera
At least three posts where socks, trousers and shoes are visible together.
2Clean, steady audio
Voice is clear on the first take. We film indoors and the sock is the star.
3Reads a claims sheet
Sends one caption for review before posting and takes the correction well.
4Honest about sponsorship
Discloses paid posts every time, in the first line, in plain words.
5Not a sock-brand regular
No active deal with a competing dress sock brand during the test.
Part 7 of 15
Who
The office regular
Films her morning routine at a desk job, with trousers and loafers always in frame.
Likely product: Light Brown Merino Wool Over the Calf Dress Socks
The gift giver
Shows what he gives for birthdays and weddings, and opens the box on camera.
Likely product: Merino Wool Over the Calf Dress Socks - 6 Pair Gift Box
The suit-and-tie guy
Daily outfit videos with a suit, tie and polished wingtips.
Likely product: Navy Geometric Merino Wool Mid-Calf Dress Socks
The weekend dresser
Jeans, a casual jacket and loafers. Dress socks as the quiet upgrade.
Likely product: Black Geometric Cotton Over the Calf Dress Socks
The pattern lover
Likes stripes and bold knits and builds outfits around them.
Likely product: Navy and Red Shadow Stripe Merino Wool Mid-Calf Dress Socks
The tailoring nerd
Talks fabric, texture and fit, and enjoys a close look at weave and rib.
Likely product: Olive and Navy Houndstooth Merino Wool Mid-Calf Dress Socks
Left off, every time
Always out: anyone who promises foot-health results, who makes medical claims for any sock, who runs an active deal with a competing dress sock brand, or who will not disclose a paid post. Category rule: no health outcome claims, ever.

Answering 'what if they don't fit'
Never said
Each one with the reason it stays out.
These socks fix sweaty feet
Health outcome. The brand only says its merino blend manages moisture.
Best dress socks on the market
A comparison the site does not support.
Fully made from U.S. yarn
The site says imported and domestic yarns.
Always on sale
The brand says it rarely offers discounts.
Free shipping worldwide
Free shipping is offered on U.S. orders only.
One size fits every foot
The site gives US shoe sizes 8-12.
To confirm with the brand
Held until someone on the brand side signs off.
Featured In press logos
Which outlets are named is unknown, so creators say nothing about press until the brand confirms.
2026 New label on products
Confirm what counts as new before a creator calls any pair new.

Pay
Starter
$300–600
a month, by band
Starter: for creators with a small but steady menswear audience and a first month of tests.
Bonus at the cap: $300
Standard
$500–1,000
a month, by band
Standard: for creators whose hooks already work and who hold a weekly posting rhythm.
Bonus at the cap: $500
Premium
$800–1,500
a month, by band
Premium: for the few whose videos regularly outpace the roster on views and care.
Bonus at the cap: $700
Under 100,000 views
$0
The base pay covers the work.
+$50 flat
Whatever the band.
Top-up to your cap
Bonus = band cap − base pay.
- One bonus per creator per month, however many videos pass the line.
- The bonus is for a single video, not for a total across several videos.
- Only organic views count. Boosted or paid views are excluded.
- No bonus on a video that broke the claims sheet or the apparel rules.
Starter: $600 cap − $300 fee = $300 bonus; Standard: $1,000 cap − $500 fee = $500 bonus; Premium: $1,500 cap − $800 fee = $700 bonus.
The bonus pays for reach after the work is done, never instead of it. One bonus per creator per calendar month keeps it an incentive and keeps the program cost predictable.
Part 11 of 15
Simulator
At the base case the program lands at $5.74 per 1,000 views against the $1 target. It reaches $1 only if 4.2% of videos go viral or the median video reaches 21,711 views.

- Videos / month
- 303
- Est. views / month
- 1.8M

- $5.74
Above the $1 target at these inputs.
To hit $1, the roster needs about 10.1M views a month. That means about 4.2% of videos going viral, or a median near 22K views per video. That is why the day-90 gate exists: keep the accounts that clear it, replace the rest.
Proposed, not measured. Views = videos × median, breakouts at 10× the median, viral at 750K. Bonus: +$50 for a viral video, one per creator per month.
Part 11 of 15, continued
What moves the result
| If the median is | Views / month | Monthly cost | Cost / 1K | Hits target |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 750 | 1.4M | $10,050 | $6.96 | No |
| 1,500 | 1.8M | $10,050 | $5.74 | No |
| 3,000 | 2.4M | $10,050 | $4.24 | No |
| If the viral share is | Views / month | Monthly cost | Cost / 1K | Hits target |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0.3% | 1.2M | $10,000 | $8.44 | No |
| 0.5% | 1.8M | $10,050 | $5.74 | No |
| 1% | 2.9M | $10,150 | $3.52 | No |
The math. Videos a month = 10 creators × 7 a week × 52 ÷ 12 = 303. Views per video = (1 − 4% − 0.5%) × 1,500 + 4% × 10 × 1,500 + 0.5% × 750,000 = 5,782.5; 303 videos × 5,782.5 = 1.8M views a month. Cost = 10 × $1,000 = $10,000 base + 1 bonus × $50 = $10,050. Cost per 1,000 views = $10,050 ÷ 1.8M × 1,000 = $5.74 against a $1.00 target. To hit the target, either 4.2% of videos go viral or the median video reaches 21,711 views, other inputs held.
Move the sliders and the label recalculates. The result is only as good as the guesses behind it, so the median views, the share of breakouts and the share of viral videos are marked as Assumptions until the first month of posts replaces them.

Week 1
Warm-up
Brief, claims sheet and the first two creators. Test the gift box and the ribbed over the calf first, with no paid use yet.
Month 1
Ramp to ten
Two creators join each week until ten are live in six weeks. Seven videos per creator per week, 303 videos a month at the full roster.
Month 2
Cut and double
Cut formats that miss and double the ones that hold. Strong creators move up a band; the first bonuses pay at the cap.
Month 3
Pick winners
Rank by cost per 1,000 views against the $1 target. The best organic videos move toward paid in the four steps on the handoff block.
Day 90
Keep, change or stop
We read the results against the $1 target. The base case is $5.74, so I say plainly what moved and what did not.
Monthly ceiling
Hard stop on spend
$15,000 with all ten creators at the top cap, bonuses excluded. This is Proposed, and it stays the ceiling until you change it.

Organic to paid
From organic to paid
Pick the winner
A video that clears the $1 target on organic views goes on a short list, once the claims check passes.
Get usage rights
Ask the creator in writing before any paid use. Pay is agreed before the video runs as an ad.
Run one variable
Test the same video against one new hook or one new end card. Nothing else changes.
Scale or retire
If cost per 1,000 views holds near the target, add budget. If not, retire it and move to the next.
From the video to the checkout
- Over the calf and gift box videos link to the matching collection page
- Gift box videos end on free U.S. shipping and the 90 day return policy
- Mid-calf videos link to the mid-calf collection
- Every link repeats the free shipping line for U.S. orders only
- New pattern drops link straight to the pattern pairs shown in the video
Part 15 of 15
Apparel rules
Apparel rules for sock creators
Dress socks are a fabric and fit product. Creators describe materials and wear, never outcomes for the body. These six rules apply to every post.
No body or health claims
Say what the sock is and how it feels. Never promise a result for feet, circulation, odor or comfort for any condition. Use only the brand's own wording on moisture.
Fiber names stay exact
Say merino wool for the merino pairs and cotton for the cotton pairs. Never mix the two, and never call a cotton pair wool.
Origin line stays literal
Use the brand's wording: Made in USA from imported and domestic yarns. Never say fully U.S. yarn or fully American.
Sizing stays honest
The site gives US shoe sizes 8-12 with slight stretch. Creators outside that range say so and do not imply the sock fits them.
Offers stay accurate
Free shipping and free returns apply to U.S. orders. The brand rarely offers discounts, so creators never imply a sale or deadline.
Disclose every paid post
Put the sponsorship in the first line of the caption and say it aloud in the video. Compare nothing to a named competitor.
The brand’s legal team sets the final rules. This is the operating floor I’d start from, not legal advice.
