What separates a good sock from a great one? American craftsmanship, premium materials and family tradition.
Our small, family-owned business believes manufacturing in the USA not only supports local jobs but also allows us to provide you with the highest quality, most comfortable socks possible.
Crafted from premium merino wool and extra-long staple cotton, our socks prioritize natural fibers for superior comfort and performance.
While similar European-made socks often cost twice as much, we deliver the same elevated quality at an exceptional value.
From the boardroom to the weekend, our socks are designed to go wherever your day takes you.
Versatile, understated and always appropriate, they look just as sharp with a tailored suit as they do with casual denim.
Reinforced stress points and high-quality fibers ensure our socks hold their shape, comfort, and performance. These meticulous steps add cost and complexity but provide you with a better sock. Wear after wear, wash after wash.

Each pair of Boardroom Socks is proudly Made in the USA using imported and domestic yarns.
Boardroom Socks is a family-owned manufacturer of premium men's dress socks. Proudly made in the USA using domestic and imported yarns. Designed for comfort and built to last.

15,000
It all started in the attic...
Like many small businesses, Boardroom Socks started in our family home. As our business grew, so did the number of socks in our house. Prior to moving to our warehouse, we had over 15,000 pairs of socks in our house!
2025
In 2025 we celebrated our 15th year in business.

Creating a great pair of dress socks begins with using the finest yarns. One of the many things that set Boardroom Socks apart is our multigenerational expertise in yarns. Our co-founder, Mike James, has been buying and selling yarns for nearly 50 years. Leveraging his knowledge and network, we source the highest-quality materials at the best prices.
Our commitment to American manufacturing doesn't end with our socks. From shipping boxes and labels to paper and packaging, we do everything that we can to partner with local small businesses.
While we no longer operate out of our home, we are still a small team and are staying true to our roots. We will continue to focus on the same mission that got us started over a decade ago - producing quality socks right here in North Carolina.

We are a small, family-owned business and we believe that a family business is a special entity. While it certainly comes with unique challenges, we thoroughly enjoy working together. Most of our key suppliers are also family-owned businesses.

The yarns used to produce a dress sock are key to their comfort and durability. Producing the finest dress socks requires using the finest materials, namely merino wool or extra-long staple cotton.

Soft, breathable merino wool keeps these socks comfortable from morning meetings to evening plans.

Knit from extra-long staple cotton, the same premium fiber found in luxury bed linens, these socks offer an exceptionally soft, breathable feel.
Some gentlemen like the smoothness of cotton and find it to be extremely comfortable. Other gentlemen prefer merino wool for its natural ability to manage moisture.

GQ: "THE BEST DRESS SOCKS OVERALL"
GQ called our over the calf dress socks "the best dress socks overall," and we've shipped hundreds of thousands of pairs worldwide to prove it.
It all started when our founder, Mike James, couldn't find the classic over the calf socks he'd worn for decades, so we made our own. Made in USA from imported and domestic yarns, built to stay up and hold their shape wear after wear.

Generally speaking, the rule of thumb is to match your dress socks to your pants.
Your socks should not match your shoes unless you are going for a monochromatic look such as black pants with black shoes and black socks.
Pick the trousers
Black socks look best with black shoes and dark trousers, creating a powerful, monochromatic look.
Alternatively, navy pants with olive socks and brown shoes, as shown below, make a fantastic trio.
While black socks typically look best with black shoes, grey socks pair exceptionally well with both black and brown shoes.
White dress socks can work very well in specific situations, especially during the hotter months of the year. They’ll look great with linen, seersucker and light khaki or white trousers.

These socks are very comfortable and high quality. They stay firmly wrapped around the top of the calf/base of the kneecap and the color is splendid. Will be buying more soon.

We’ve got a simple, five-step process to keep your drawer neat and protect your socks.
To begin with, be sure to use a small knife or pair of scissors to remove the piece of cardboard holding the socks together; if you pull it off, you may put a hole in the socks.
When laundering your Boardroom Socks, we recommend washing them inside out on a cool or warm setting. If possible, you should air dry them. If not, they can be tumble dried on low.

Orders typically ship out either the same day or the next business day.
Our U.S.-based customer service team is ready to help!

Our socks are available in two size ranges: US Shoe Sizes 8-12 and US Shoe Sizes 13-16.
We describe our dress socks as a "medium" thickness; they are slightly thicker than those made by European brands and slightly thinner than dress socks found in department stores.
Our socks deliver the perfect balance of durability and comfort.
All of our socks are knit in the southeastern United States, primarily in our home state of North Carolina. We're proud to support dozens of jobs in our community and our commitment to North Carolina is why an outline of the state is included in our logo.
